Carbon brushes 555.212 are intended for use in aircraft generators.

Electric brushes provide electrical connection between the moving and stationary parts of the generator. In collector motors, they are current-carrying elements due to the current-carrying wire. This wire is an element of the brush assembly and is designed to supply or disconnect current.

The wire is usually made of copper grade ПЩ and is a flexible insulated wire.
